Quasi tutti vanno solo con win, a meno che esistano driver intel specifici per opensuse da inserire durante l'installazione dell'SO. (è una guerra) Ora concordo la tua scelta per il raid 5 ma tieni anche presente che se ti parte un disco poi la ricostruzione del raid non è il massimo dell'affidabilità e della velocità, per ricostruire 1TB di dati con quel controller ci metti 48 ore... Per quanto riguarda la formattazione ci deve mettere qualche minuto e non un ora, cioè è una cosa veloce, se no c'è qualche cosa che non và.

Tutti i controller on-board delle schede madri ed i controller aggiuntivi da 100€ (tanto per capirci) sono denominati "fake raid" e non potrai mai usarli in versione hardware sotto le distrò linux o freebsd. Comunque il raid software sotto opensuse è molto sicuro anche se io avrei optato per un raid 10 e non 5.

I chip per bios sono tutti riscrivibili e quindi si possono cancellare. Premi il pulsante ID che ti appare la finestrella dove riporta i dati e nome del chip, se le caselle risultano vuote o con valori non corrispondenti al chip in questione che devi programmare vuol dire che non hai impostato in modo corretto i settaggi per la programmazione ed è possibile che non funzioni nemmeno l'erase. Per vari chip devi aprire o chiudere il jumper 3,6Volt.

Mi... vale proprio i soldi che ho pagato. Ho dovuto aspettare ulteriori giorni per poter ricevere il software che è pure sotto licenza. Nei test che ho fatto non ho trovato alcun problema con le SPI Flash a differenza dei vecchi chip che non me li riconosce in automatico, comunque è ancora presto per tirare le conclusioni.

Fino al test hardware va bene, ora vedi se rileva correttamente i'ID (chip) altrimenti non funziona correttamente e non riuscirai mai a programmare il chip. Tieni presente che la funzione read ed erase funzionano sempre senza visualizzare errori, ma in realta la funzione read non legge correttamente il chip. Il file da caricare non serve rinominarlo.

Sulle mobo non puoi farlo, tali operazioni sono eseguibili solo tramite programmatore esterno. N.B. Solo su alcune vecchie mobo è presente un connettore che con un apposito cavo è possibile riprogrammare il chip senza dissaldarlo, ma non permette una cancellazione completa.

Tutti i bios aggiornati

utilizzi i connettori posteriori o anteriori del cabinet? nel mixer di windows o realteck vedi le cuffie funzionanti? anche se di poco conto, che versione bios utilizzi?

1) se formatti perdi il backup di w8 e non puoi più tornare indietro 2) nel bios sotto security controlla di aver sbloccato usb 3) nel boot devi creare un new boot option (usb) oppure (dvd) 4) ti consiglio di fare il tutto su un nuovo HD e tenere l'attuale HD nel cassetto, non si sa mai.

non conosco il dd-wrt, ne ho solo sentito parlare, ma penso si possa fare: Bonding - DD-WRT Wiki ovviamente se tutto funziona a dovere raddoppi la banda e vai a 200mbs. L'incremento prestazionale poi è dato dalla bontà delle NIC, se sono poco efficenti non vedrai miglioramenti su singolo client Vs NAS.
