@Tom @Leo Ritengo questo Thread non conforme a quanto già fatto in nome di ASRock per i precedenti Thread, ovvero mi riferisco ai "Thread Ufficiali". Non sono neanche disponibili i post di servizio per aggiornare ed inserire le foto e le caratteristiche di queste bellissime mobo. Questo, come altri Thread recentemente aperti, dal mio punto di vista sono da ritenersi "Thread News" e poi abbandonati a se stessi. Questa sera ne apro uno "ufficiale" nuovo basato sullo standard dei precedenti. Che ne pensate?

BIOS e Download Istruzioni per l'istant flash: Salvare il file del BIOS (dopo averlo scompattato dal file zip) in un drive USB (formattato in FAT32 ), in un hard disk (FAT32 ) o in un floppy. Premete durante la fase di POST per entrare nel menù del bios. Selezionate l'utility Istant Flash nel menù [smart] per eseguirla. ASRock Instant Flash identificherà tutte le periferiche in cui poter trovare il bios e vi mostrerà un elenco di tutti i bios adatti alla vostra scheda madre. Selezionate il bios da installare e avviate il flash. Aspettate che l'operazione sia completa e non staccate l'alimentazione per nessun motivo. Rilasciata la nuova Release 8.0.4 FreeNAS - Browse /FreeNAS-8.0.4 at SourceForge.net P.s. Presto inizierà lo sviluppo per la nuova verisione di Freenas, la prima release si chiamerà "FreeNAS-8.2.0".

Era una battuta amico mio, sono io che perdo colpi...

Questo è uno step successivo rispetto a quello Beta del sito ASRock (L1.15 --> L1.15A) e cambia anche il changelog. Il bios definitivo è previsto per metà marzo sempre che non sorgano altri problemi.

mi..... che sfiga! comunque penso sia proprio la mobo ad aver problemi perchè a livello bios la programmazione era ok, poi 2 su 2... i chip dopo la programmazione li ho letti, salvato il file nell'editor e non ho riscontrato nessun problema. mi dispiace, andrà meglio la prossima volta!

Anche per Freenas si accede allo stesso modo, ovvero da altri pc. Il collegamento del monitor e della tastiera servono solo per la prima installazione e per alcuni settaggi di base es. la configurazione della rete. Una volta installato, tutte le configurazioni semplici e complesse es le impostazioni degli HD si fanno tramite webgui ovvero un altro pc collegato sulla stessa rete casalinga utilizzando un browser tipo explorer o firefox.

Eccomi... Diciamo che per 300€ forse è meglio prendere un Qnap o Synology e si dorme sonni tranquilli... L'alternativa è FreeNas con materiale di recupero (se supportato) es scheda madre, cpu e ram, gli HD tassativamente NUOVI. Se vuoi un idea più chiara in merito a FreeNas è disponibile questa guida un pò datata: FreeNAS Italiano - Introduzione a FreeNAS Io consiglio FreeNas principalmente per sistemi più complessi e performanti dove quì l'alternativa è veramente costosa. Un punto a sfavore per FreeNas è che serve un hardware compatibile e un buon feeling con unix (freeBSD) se le cose si mettono male. Io personalmente ho investito molto per il mio NAS ma ti assicuro che ho risparmiato il 50% rispetto ad un prodotto commerciale professionale, ho ottenuto le stesse prestazioni, stabilità, sicurezza e in più sono libero di fare ciò che voglio oggi e domani.
