Ad ogni nuova release del bios che riguarda "Update CPU code" si introduce il supporto alle nuove cpu e si migliora il supporto alle ram perchè si aggiorna il modulo bios del "microcode" e quindi è possibile che con le successive release le tue ram siano supportate, se noti bene nei changelog dei bios della extreme 6 sono presenti aggiornamenti importanti. Tengo a precisare che non posso essere sicuro che il problema siano per forza le ram, ma se non si va per esclusione è dura arrivarci...

Ma se proprio non le riconosce è come se non ci fossero... In tal caso si capisce tramite i beeps: 5 short + 1 long beeps - Memory error - No memory detected in the memory slots. e in questo caso il bios non parte.

Si il bios è la versione 1.20 e quindi supporta il procio e se sei sicuro di averlo montato correttamente senza aver rovinato quache contatto penso che il problema ricada sulle ram, è possibile che non siano supportate e l'unica alternativa era provare con delle altre.

Da quello che leggo penso sia la scheda madre, marca e modello? hai resettato il bios?

Potevi aspettare qualche ora... Allora... Se quando avvii il pc e il display indica subito "00" oppure "AA" significa che la procedura di inizializzazione del bios non parte, al 99% è perchè hai la versione bios 1.10 (first release) che non supporta il procio che vedo nella tua firma. Per vedere la versione bios installata sulle mobo ASRock basta guardare l'etichetta adesiva posta sopra il chip. Se così fosse ti consiglierei di cabiare shop visto che quella versione bios risale a marzo 2012.

Ottimo! Io ho il kit Corsair -CMT16GX3M4X2133C9 16GB PC3-17066 (2133MHz) 9-11-10-27 1,5V ma lo diviso a metà per le Fatal1ty P67 e 990FX e ti posso garantire che sono ottime.

Sono vari anni che utilizzo i NAS per salvare e condividere i file in rete locale e non, e nel corso del tempo le esigenze sono aumentate e quindi ecco il perchè di questa macchina performante. (tengo a precisare che questo è un upgrade del sistema precedente) Lo uso per il mio hobby e per lavoro e condivido molti file di grosse dimensioni principalmente tra i miei pc a postazione fissa che sono su rete locale (niente internet). Anni fà con il primo NAS trasferivo i file a 10MB/s, ora siamo a 180MB/s, questo mi permette di eliminare quelle pallose attese che odio. Una postazione è Intel con vga nvidia, l'altra Amd con vga Ati e li uso principalmente per il mio hobby (secondo lavoro) La terza postazione è dedicaca per la riparazione/realizzazione di nuovi pc. Purtroppo il tempo per giocare è quasi nullo Esatto amico mio, e meno male che tutti gli "aggeggi" non erano sul tavolo altrimenti mi prendevano per pazzo. Se non fosse per questa crisi che ci circonda aprirei un negozio di pc, ma i guadagni sono davvero miseri.

Altro che libro, quà ci esce una enciclopedia in vari volumi Il mio problema è che stò cercando il pelo nell'uovo e performance superiori alla media rispetto ad un comune NAS da 4 spiccioli, non sò a quanti utenti potrebbe interessare visto il costo della macchina.

Appena ho le idee chiare su cosa fare potrò fare anche una guidina ma c'è già per freenas. Prossimo passo, un controller con le palle e qualche SSD, spero di concludere il tutto per settembre.

Grazie per i consigli, il fatto è che nelle varie prove effettuate mi pare che il raid hardware sia leggermente più performante, ma questo forse dipende dal controller adaptec da 130€. Il raid RAIDZ per esprimere il suo meglio avrebbe bisogno di 6 HD, mi riferisco al discorso di "parità", non sono molto esperto su questo e devo studiarmelo ancora un pò. (correggimi se sbaglio) La mia intenzione era quella si sostituire il controller attuale appunto per il fatto che con 8 porte 6 le avrei sfuttate per il raidz e 2 per il backup, poi è ovvio che per un aggeggio del genere non bastano 500€, ma questo purtroppo è scontato per avere buone prestazioni. Cerco un controller che sia supportato nativamente "hardware" per il semplice fatto di poter collaudare le varie alternative, non sò se mi sono spiegato. Ciao
