The thing is, that 4Chan label immediately has us raising eyebrows regarding the authenticity. While it seems likely that Samsung would at some point want to follow up on its previous success with the Galaxy S and S2, in bringing a third handset to the market, we’re a little sceptical about the source. On the other hand, we’re not going to discount the rumour. If it proves to be true it’s very exciting stuff indeed. The leak indicates Samsung will officially reveal the device in all its glory at next year’s Mobile World Congress event (MWC) in Barcelona. Going straight for the jugular with a monster of a processor, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will allegedly pack a 2GHz quad core into its 9mm metal and glass frame. No names have been dropped for manufacturers, though, so it’s anybody’s guess whether we’re dealing with ARM, Qualcomm or any of the rest - maybe even Intel. The rest of the supposed hardware line-up is equally impressive, with 1.5GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage plus card support. It's not clear whether this means microSD or SD but we would be surprised to see the firm buck the microSD trend. Not only is the processing power what marketing types might call game-changing, the latest Galaxy S handset will be sporting brand new screen technology, too: the third incarnation of Samsung’s own Super Amoled Plus touchscreens. A 4.7-inch display will supposedly clock-in at 1280x1024 pixels, but as AndroidandMe astutely points out, this is probably an error and something like 1280x720 pixels seems more probable. However, seeing as we’re already potentially in the realms of fantasy anyway then sure, why not? Pixel density is also off the chart at 352 pixels-per-inch (ppi). Other details include a 10-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video at 60 frames-per-second (that’s twice what most current phones are capable of) and a Near-field communication (NFC) chip for tap-and-go payments and remote data transfer. Surely with this much demanding hardware your battery will be flat within half an hour? Perhaps not as the anonymous source suggests a 2250 mAh battery pack will provide the S3 with plenty of juice. Lastly, as might be expected, the Galaxy S3 will reportedly be running Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest build of Google’s operating system set to launch sometime in the next couple of months. Not only that but it will allegedly be overlaid with the newest version of Samsung’s own interface, TouchWiz 5. That might cause some of you to let out a sigh, but according to 4Chan’s man on the ground, this version has been co-developed with Google to be as non-intrusive to Android as possible. So by the sounds of things we’re dealing with a device about the same size as the current Galaxy S2, but made out of metal instead of plastic, running the latest hardware and software, and with more power than your average PC. Ma vedi a me fa incazzare il fatto che altri brand non fanno altro che copiare, farlo meglio e più potente ma copiano, con tutto che ce l'ho con Apple per la politica "discutibile" che fa, ma con il jailbreak annullo questo fattore. Speriamo che altri brand imparino non solo a copiare sulle funzionalità ma ad essere davvero innovativi, e poi scusa si sà Tom che un Iphone tiene meglio il mercato rispetto a dispositivi Android che ti ritrovi un pugno di mosche in mano quando lo devi rivendere Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Quindi traiamo le somme: A me non piace la politica commerciale di Apple, ma a conti fatti non cesserà mai di esistere e di essere superata sotto molti aspetti perchè la sua forza sarà innovativa più che altro. Detto questo quand'è che gli altri smetteranno di essere le seconde ruote del carro ed offriranno veramente un prodotto competitivo oltre che sul lato prestazionale anche su altri aspetti ?
