pasta Posted December 26, 2010 Share Posted December 26, 2010 Possiedo un Belkin 54G Wireless router corredato dalla sua chiavetta usb, sono collegati in wifi 2 notebook e un pc tramite il suo adattatore. Ho sempre usato solo il mac address filtering perchè ogni volta che provo ad attivare qualche protezione ho dei problemi. Ci sto riprovando anche ora ma sia impostando "wpa/wpa2" p "wpa2 only", sia impostando tkip o aes la connessione è piu lenta, spesso si blocca e la lentezza e questi blocchi riguardano anche la pagina di configurazione del router. Uso windows 7 e imposto la connessione come wpa personal o wpa2 personal e selezionando tkip o aes a seconda del csso. Sapete da cosa puo derivare e come posso agire per risolvere? (p.s. uso l'ultimo firmware e gli ultimi drivers entrambi di un paio di anni fa) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Le085 Posted December 26, 2010 Share Posted December 26, 2010 E' un problema... la crittografia ovviamente aggiunge un carico computazionale al router che se sottodimensionato potrebbe affaticarsi... La WEP dovrebbe risultare più leggera sia da violare che anche come costo computazionale per il router.. hai notato qualche miglioramento in quella modalità? tom1 Posted December 26, 2010 Share Posted December 26, 2010 Come detto da leo inserire una chiave di sicurezza aumenta gli "sforzi" del modem a favore della sicurezza,e inoltre dipende molto dal processore montato sul modem che se è abbastanza vecchiotto o comunque con pochi mhz rallenta la connesione wifi , soluzione elimina la chiave e aggiorna e proteggi meglio il pc con antivirus e software antyspyware Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pasta Posted January 6, 2011 Author Share Posted January 6, 2011 sono passato da una fase di stallo (download lentissimo) ad una fase ottima semplicemente staccando l'adattatore usb e collegandolo ad un altra porta, quindi il problema credo sia proprio l'adattatore (escuderei la porta usb perchè il giorno dopo anche li mi ha dato problemi) A questo punto mi consigliate qualcosa per l'upgrade? pasta Posted January 9, 2011 Author Share Posted January 9, 2011 ok, avrei qualche domanda però: 1. questa che mi hai consigliato va bene anche per router normali che non sono "N"? 2. la DWA-556 (credo sia la stessa ma pci-e) va bene come quella? 3. queste schede presenti in quelle pagina (525, G510, G520) sapresti dirmi in cosa differiscono fra loro, se ne varrebbe comunque la pena fare l'upgrade e "quanto" vanno meno della scheda che mi hai consigliato?
