Occhio, openoffice è pesantissimo... che io sappia è quasi inutilizzabile su pc anteriori ad un athlon XP con taaaaaanta ram... Even Xubuntu should be slow, with that system configuration In any way, please try to uninstall openoffice 2.*.* and install a lighter version, such as 1.1.5... in this way it should run faster... Bye -------------------------------- Il processore può andare... ma è meglio se aggiungi della ram... così anche xubuntu dovrebbe essere lento! Niente automount né utility per montare graficamente dischi, varie carenze dal punto di vista della configurazione... Non mi è piaciuta proprio. La DSL invece è ottima per quello che è... cioè in 50 mb ha più di quanto abbia la fluxbuntu, e tutto funzionante, comprese utility per il montaggio dei dischi e configurazione (più o meno...) grafica. Purtroppo il sistema della DSL non è standard (in pratica è il "riassunto" di un kernel linux), quindi sebbene supporti il dpkg e l'apt-get (sì, avete letto bene!!!) non è possibile installare tutte le applicazioni standard per Linux. Ad esempio, sono riuscito ad installare perfettamente VLC ed i suoi codec, ma non altri programmi. Bisogna, però, dire che se non si usa il pc per molto più delle solirte 4 cose (navigare, controllare l'email e scrivere testi), allora la DSL potrebbe essere un'ottima occasione per ritirare fuori un vecchio 486 o pentium (consiglio il pentium.... ) Ciao!
