Avrei bisogno di un parere da parte di una persona che conosce bene i BIOS, come ad esempio labview Ho un HTPC con Mainboard AOpen i45GMT MiniITX con supporto a CPU Intel Mobile Socket P. L'ho modificata per renderla idonea all'Overclock e fare quindi tanti WR con tutte le Cpu del suddetto socket prendendo un bel pò di punti hwbot il ns. team. Ho apportato le seguenti modifiche Hardware. (Vmods per: CPU VID, Chipset, DDR2) (PLL hardware FSB mod, per forzare l'FSB voluto, 166/200/266) Oltre i 266 di FSB posso salire solo via software da Windows tramite software SetPLL e/o SetFSB ma a circa 315mhz di FSB vengo limitato dalle RAM che iniziano a trovarsi a frequenza TROPPO alta (circa 530MHz) Purtroppo IL BIOS Della Mainboard non ha nessuna voce per impostare la frequenza delle RAM e si rifiuta di fare il boot se monto DDR2-266Mhz, vuole minimo le 333MHz, e il rapporto minimo fra FSB e RAM è 3:5. Ne consegue appunto che quando FSB è a 300MHz le RAM vanno già a 500MHz. E' possibile fare una modifica al bios per poter abbassare la frequenza delle RAM ? e/o magari aggiungere qualche funzione utile alla causa (Overclock), tipo ad esempio la possibilità di selezionare timings ecc.. ?? il BIOS è AMIBIOS (686) tipologia ovviamente Legacy (Non UEFI)e dovrebbe avere il chip di tipo nuovo, quelli piccoli a 8 pin per intenderci. Il bios è proprio minimale senza nessun setting cpu e ram... pensavo di trovare qualche sezione disabilitata ma niente. La gestione automatica delle ram è limitata a 3 livelli, 667-800-1067 MHz e non possono essere modificate altrimenti non parte più la mobo. Mi dispiace ma con queste limitazioni non posso fare nulla. Peccato.. ecco spiegato come mai con le DDR2-533 il sistema non fà il boot. hanno messo il supporto per le DDR2-1067 SO-DIMM che nemmeno esistono.. non ha molto senso. Proverò ad abbassarle a pc acceso agendo sul PLL, anche se non sono affatto sicuro che sia possibile. Oppure prenderò delle RAM DDR2 capaci di reggere 600MHz, e c'è una persona che mi ha consigliato delle buone ram. Terrò comunque il bios che ho scaricato come copia di riserva. Grazie comunque !! Sono riuscito ad abbassare la frequenza RAM via hardware mod, facendo la bsel mod alla cpu, ossia facendo credere al chipset che la CPU era con FSB1066 anzichè FSB800 come era in realtà. In questo modo mi ha abbassato lo Strap, e divisore frequenze FSB:RAM a 4:5. Però, questa mod mi funziona solamente con i celeron core singolo(modello 900 o 925), con tutti gli altri processori Dual core la stessa mod non và, se la faccio il sistema non fà il Boot per niente ! inoltre... la mainboard sembra che non ha la funzione Intel IDA (Intel dynamic acceleration - sarebbe quella che sui Core2 duo mobile ti fà aumentare il moltiplicatore cpu di un extra +1 oltre il valore standard, quando nella cpu lavora un solo core, salvo poi riabbassarlo al valore nominale quando invece lavorano entrambi i Core) Magari è disabilitato nel bios... Mentre tutte le altre CPU Dual Core non fanno nemmeno il boot con tale modifica. (provati T4500, T6600, T8100, T7700.. nessuno di questi fà il boot). i Dual Core mi lavorano solamente con divisori 1:2 e 3:5, mentre i Celeron possono lavorare con tutti i divisori 1:2, 3:5, 4:5, 2:3. La funzione IDA (Intel Dynamic Acceleration) non è presente e non è possibile inserirla, va ricompilato il bios e per tale operazione serveno i codici sorgenti del bios da modificare in "visual eBios", della ROM non me ne faccio nulla. Ma utilizzare un altra mobo più idonea all'OC? perchè proprio questa? Ciao, 1-E' una mainboard che supporta solo cpu notebook, mobile Core 2 duo 45nm e 65nm Socket P. Praticamente una piattaforma Mini-ITX per computer fissi fatta però per ospitare CPU Notebook e ram SO-DIMM. CPU desktop ovviamente non ci vanno. Non me ne intendo affatto di bios, ma poichè mi ero accordo che la mod. dei pin BSEL funzionava solo sulle CPU Celeron 900 e 925 (45nm) metre su tutte le altre CPU No... La mia vana speranza era che si potesse "copiare" alcune impostazioni del Celeron 900 su un altra CPU Dual Core tipo T8100 o T6600 e / o che si potesse sbloccare qualcosa nel bios che impediva il funzionamento. In fin dei conti è strano che sul Celeron Và e sulle altre no, sono CPU identiche eccetto per il numero di Core. Intel deve aver messo qualche blocco credo. 3- Non vi sono molte alternative a questa mainboard.. Il Socket P è x notebook, e di solito nessuno produce mainboard notebook da overclock. AOpen, e qualche altro produttore (Jetway, Dell) hanno avuto l'idea di produrre qualche mainboard per PC Fissi basata su tale socket, Come questa... Ma credo nessuna sia predisposta all'overclock L'obiettivo è fare tutti i WR su hwbot con tutte le CPU Socket P mobile, per portare un bel fracco di punti al Ns. team overclock. Ti confermo che non ci sono parti nascoste del menù ne tanto meno applicazioni disabilitate, purtroppo non posso aggiungere sezioni del menù per ulteriori setting perchè va modificata la struttura e la conseguente ricompilazione del bios, l'unico modo è interagire con software di terze parti da windows. Cercherò di arrangiarmi in qualche modo, grazie comunque. Proverò a manipolare le impostazioni da Windows tramite programmi quali Bar Edit e wpcredit x vedere se ne esce qualcosa, anche se in mezzo a tutte quelle stringhe esadecimali è un pò difficile orientarsi, mi aiuterò con il datasheet del chipset. Mi domando se l'IDA sia attivabile da Windows in qualche modo, suppongo però di no, poichè ho provato Rmclock e Throttlestop come utility, entrambi mi fanno settare la modalità IDA ma però poi non funziona, il moltiplicatore non cambia.
