finché non le vedi in qualche shop italiano sarà difficile da valutare con esattezza

Secondo il sito SemiAccurate la GTX 480, in media, finirà per essere solo il 5% più veloce della HD 5870 a risoluzioni elevate.
La GTX 470 non è stato testata in queste valutazioni interne, e sarà certamente finire più lento rispetto a HD 5870.

GTX 470 Price and PSU Requirement
It’s a busy day, the rumour mill is going crazy with information regarding the GTX 400 series and what’s going to be announced. While for the most part it seems that NVIDIA are going to make mention of a release date early Monday morning in the US we’ve heard even more information.
This time on the GTX 470; Price? It looks like the official launch price on this model will be $299 USD. To put this into perspective this is the same price as the HD 5850. Which means from a price stand point it’s going to compete directly against that model, no doubt NVIDIA will be aiming the performance of the model more around the HD 5870 area though.
When it comes to power it looks like NV are going to be suggesting a 550 Watt minimum unit to run the model. Compared to the HD 5850 which ATI say requires a minimum of 500 Watt this is a slight bump.
Saying that though most people these days looking at a card like this should be carrying a decent quality 600+ Watt power supply. The requirement though while not being much of a worry does put a concern on just how much power the model will use, in a time where it’s become cool to be green this could be an issue for some.

So I figure that we’re on the edge of an announcement on launch date for the GTX 400 series, combine the Facebook announcement made by NVIDIA the other day along with the whispers of a more solid mid to late March launch date on the model and it’s pretty clear that we’re going to hear some concrete information on this in the next 12 hours.
Now if the card is only a month away from being released that means it’s time to chase up samples. To be honest chasing samples isn’t something I do these days, I’m in constant conversation with my contacts, and when I say constant I mean I speak to most people I deal with daily. This means I’m always in the loop when it comes to information, it also helps me bring you exclusive information as well.
Since it’s been a while since we’ve really got anything from NV though it was time to talk to some of the NV only partners to see what’s going on. Working for a Tier 1 website has its benefits, and working for one for 7 years is even better. All I need to do is drop the TweakTown name and my own and these companies know who they’re dealing with.
So when a company says we can’t send a sample due to shortage they know that this isn’t going to cut it as an excuse. ATI partners like Sapphire and HIS have no issue sending cards when on shortage. Well the issue seems that you combine the fact that the model in itself is going to be a shortage and that partners offer a two year warranty instead of the one NV offer them and you quickly see the problem.
With the model no doubt being expensive partners don’t want to order too many; if a product dies 1 year after warranty and the company offers 2 it comes directly out of their pocket. Instead companies want to wait for their own design of the model before going too hard with the model.
This 1 year warranty causes two problems for you. Firstly companies don’t want to have too many because if they get a heap back after the first year it costs them which in turn creates a shortage. More importantly though the price goes up on the model so they can cover themselves for cards that die after that one year time frame.

- Maggio dello scorso anno Charlie diceva che GT300 sarebbe uscito a Febbraio/Marzo del 2010 nella migliore delle ipotesi.(non mi pare che ha cannato di molto, visto che altri dicevano addirittura per fine anno 2009 o gennaio).
- Ha dichiarato che nVIDIA avrebbe mostrato una scheda fake al GTC, e mi pare che fu dimostrato ampiamente che era vero.
- Tutte le news su Fermi (ritardi, calore, consumi, rese produttive, etc.) sembra che saranno confermate, e non sembra aver sbagliato

Seguo con interesse la vicenda Fermi, ho letto molto al riguardo, sono scettico sulle performances ma aspetto di vedere qualcosa di concreto, anche se le notizie che si rincorrono oggi nel web prezzo/prestazioni mi lasciano moooolto perplesso.
Leggevo che un wafer di GF100 costa circa 5000US$ e al massimo ricavano 10 chip buoni........ una sassata!!!!

Nvidia è costretta a vendere in perdita le prime Fermi, il GF100 è già arrivato alla revision A3 e i costi sono riferiti a questo step mediamente 500US$ a chip. Si vociferava che il progetto attuale dell'architettura Fermi era errato in partenza, tant'è che Nvidia sta già lavorando a Fermi II (forse con chip a 28nm).
Se sono solo voci o la dura realtà (lo dico da fan Nvidia) lo diranno i bench che vedremo prossimamente.
Però dopoil CES di Las Vegas, si sapeva che qualche sample delle Fermi era in giro, ma non si è mai visto alcun score o bench eccezion fatta per quello fatto al CES, quello del razzo, con le Fermi in SLI e sotto acqua (che peraltro alla fine sono andate in crash). Aspettiamo e vediamo
