problemi dopo upgrade cpu da E8400 a Q6700 in socket 775

Ciao a tutti , ho un problema che sicuramente è dovuto a windows , dato che una delle mie schede madri , una P5Q rileva correttamente il cambio processore operato da E8400 a Quad core Q6700 ...cioè rilevo correttamente da bios la giusta CPU , ho il bios aggiornato all'ultima release , gestione dispositivi vede correttamente i quattro core della CPU , ma in Task manager sono presenti solo due thread .
Ora , dato che in altra Scheda madre simile a questa ho risolto formattando , non vorrei arrivare a tanto oltretutto dopo aver letto che probabilmente esiste una procedura per correggere il problema dovuto a Windows , in questo caso Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

Io opterei per il formattone se non hai troppi dati da backuppare... Sistema fresco non fa mai male
Altrimenti prova con sysprep che al riavvio ti reinizializza tutto l'hw

No, ho appena formattato... È il pc di mio figlio, io devo trovare il modo di risolvere questa cosa, è una questione di principio... Dato che è il nostro winzozz che sbarella di brutto... Quindi devo trovare la soluzione.... Assolutamente

Before installing new hardware, boot Windows 7 normally
Disconnect all external hardware except mouse, keyboard and main display. If your system folders are located only on
drive, disconnect all other hard disks except that containing the C:. In case of relocated system folders, for instance the profile folder Users located in another drive and other system folders on C:, first move the relocated system folders back to then disconnect all other drives. Reboot after thisRun Command Prompt as administrator
Type to Command Prompt: %windir%System32SysprepSysprep.exe, and hit Enter
In sysprep dialog that opens, choose System Cleanup Action as Enter System Out-of-Box-Experience (OOBE), selectGeneralize, select Shutdown Options Shutdown. Click OK
Sysprep generalizes now your Windows 7 setup and shuts down your computer. Do not run any other programs during this phase!
Switch the main power of your PC off and install the new hardware
Boot the PC from sysprep generalized hard disk. You will notice Windows booting as if it was the first boot after installation, installing default drivers and updating registry. One or two reboots are needed, depending on your system specifications
When Windows finally boots up, you will need to enter all information as if this really was a new, fresh installation
Because your old user profiles already exist, Windows does not accept your normal username, but instead you have to create a new temporary user
When login screen appears, choose your old user account to login
Go to Control Panel > User Accounts and delete the temporary user account

risolto...ma in un modo ...più semplice
A suo tempo avevo messo la spunta in Opzioni di Avvio-Avanzate in Msconfig. andando a selezionare per la fgase di avvio tutti e due i Core dell'E8400...quando ho installato la nuova CPU , Windows ha mantenuto correttamente la spunta ed i soli due core , di conseguenza solo due su quattro.
E' bastato togliere la spunta , riavviare , andare a selezionare finalmente i quattro core ora visibili e riavviare .
Ora la cpu lavora al massimo del suo potenziale , quindi ora passo ad overcloccare la cpu a mio figlio
