Un pochino rumorosa ma non esageratamente; considera che è nel case Cooler Master CM 690II. Come temperature con Furmark sono arrivato a 79°; nell'utilizzo con i giochi sono mediamente sui 70-72.
Ho anche un altro pc con una 5850 Sapphire che è più silenziosa ma devo dire di essere contento di ambedue le schede ognuna con i loro pregi e difetti.

Sono molto contento della mia scelta; la cosa strana comunque, tornando al problema fortunatamente risolto, è che prima di scoprire la possibilità di modificare il voltaggio, ero riuscito a farla funzionare abbassando la velocità delle ram a 1800 ma non era certo una soluzione accettabile, visto che avevo acquistato una scheda che doveva garantire 2000.

Remove all old GeForce 3D Vision drivers as outlined in the Quick Start Guide.

Launch the NVIDIA 3D Vision driver file by double clicking on it

sono arrivate le gemelle palit sonic
ho un problema con lo sli e physx
allora qnd lancio 3d mark vantage mi dice "physXLoader.dll non presente"
e qnd lancio 3dmark06 praticamente va come la mia vecchia 5850
quindi penso ne stia andando 1 sola delle 2
e pe di + volevo fare una prova pratica in gioko con splinter cell ma appena avvio mi dice che non la gtx460 non e suportata
vi prego aiutatemi

questo è l'ultimo disponibile:
riguardo a splinter cell, se non sbaglio, devi cliccare ok o annulla a quel messaggio, poi puoi giocare tranquillamente...

Io ho eseguito regolarmente 3D Mark Vantage, Cryostasis tech demo e Supersonic Sled con Physx attivo sulla GPU; gioco anche normalmente a Railworks che usa Physx; stasera ho notato però che nei messaggi del centro operativo di Windows 7, nella cronologia affidabilità, c'è il messaggio seguente:
Windows Installer: installazione del prodotto completata. Nome prodotto: NVIDIA PhysX. Versione prodotto: 9.10.0129. Lingua prodotto: 1040. Produttore: NVIDIA Corporation. Installazione riuscita o stato di errore: 1603.
Conviene installare il pack? Non lo fa già il driver?
Credo che il messaggio sia venuto fuori dopo l'installazione di Stone Giant, infatti l'ora e la data coincidono.

si...quando installi i driver viene installato anche il pacchetto physx...ma al momento non l'ultima versione disponibile...(i 258.96 includono la 9.10.0224)...
scarica quindi la versione aggiornata e installala...

I driver vanno molto bene e a quanto pare hanno ridotto di molto il problema del pesantissimo stuttering presente con le precedenti release sulle GTX 2xx !
Ho trovato un piccolo errore che ho già comunicato sul forum di nVidia
Il profilo "SiN.exe" è erroneamente associato a "Sin Episodes: Emergence" invece che al caro vecchio "SiN" del 1998, ottimo titolo soprattutto per analizzare la compatibilità dei nuovi driver con le vecchie estensioni dell'OpenGL (è basato sull' ID Tech 2): basta infatti abilitare l'extension limit dal pannello dei driver e va tutto perfettamente.....brava nVidia!
In finestra a 1280x960 con AA e AF al massimo è ancora godibile!
P.S.: io sono uno di quelli che 12 anni fa stavano dalla parte di SiN contro HL
