<p>Lo step o la revisone è il processo produttivo con cui sono state realizzate le cpu. Uno step produttivo più recente permette di diminuire i consumi grazie a VID più bassi e aumentare le capacità di overclock.</p>
<p><strong>Come faccio a capire qual'è lo step della mia cpu?</strong></p>

<p><strong>Come faccio a capire lo step di una cpu che ancora non ho acuistato?</strong></p>

<p>Si può risalire allo step della cpu tramite le ultime 5 lettere del "Product code" che si trova scritto su quell'etichetta che sta appiccicata sulle scatole dei processori boxed.</p>
<p><strong>E il batch (qualcuno lo chiama anche sigla) cos'è?</strong></p>
<p>E' una sigla che sta ad indicare il lotto di produzione della cpu lo stabilimento e la settimana di produzione.  Qualcuno sfrutta questa sigla per orientarsi sulle capacità di overclock di una cpu, vedendo i risultati di cpu fortunati con sigla simile. Ci sarebbe da discutere un anno su questa cosa e non è ora il mio scopo. In generale, comunque, non è detto che due cpu con sigla simile o uguale abbiano prestazioni simili.</p>
<p><strong>Nelle seguenti tabelle sono raccolti tutti gli step produttivi di ciascun processore Intel Core, con la rispettiva parte del product code. Alcuni processori hanno diversi step e quindi proprio in quei casi occorre fare attenzione per scegliere il migliore tra i due.</strong></p>
<p>Iniziamo con la tabella degli <strong>Intel Core 2</strong></p>

<p>Con i processori della serie iX è stata aggiunta la voce #Core che ci indica il numero di core fisici e il numero di core logici tra parentesi. Qualora il processore fosse dotato di tecnologia HT troveremo un numero di core logici doppio rispetto al numero di core fisici. Ricordiamo che la tecnologia HT non porta a un raddoppio effettivo delle capacità di calcolo della cpu ma il guadagno è stimabile intorno a circa il 30% e caria a seconda delle applicazioni.</p>
