<![CDATA[Athlon 64 Venice in commercio]]>Appaiono in commercio i primi processori AMD Athlon 64 basati su Core Venice, costruiti con processo produttivo a 0.09 micron e tecnologia SOI, Silicon On Insulator. Rispetto al precedente stepping, la versione E3 della cpu Athlon 64 introduce anche il supporto al set di istruzioni SSE3, originariamente implementato nelle cpu Intel Pentium 4 basate su Core Prescott.

Come riconoscere le cpu Athlon 64 Revision E3 da quelle precedenti Revision D0? E' sufficiente osservare gli stepping indicati sul processore. Nel caso del modello 3.200+, ad esempio, la versione E3 Venice ha sigla ADA3200DAA4BP, mentre per il modello D0 la sigla ? quella ADA3200DIK4BI.

un 3200+... che pero' sembra sfigatello visto che sono RS solo a 288 x9...

me lo immaginavo, soli i primi venice che sono usciti avevano dei margini di overclock altissimi ....

adesso si arriva a stento a 2700 mhz...
