AMD: il Turion 64 X2 a 65 nm nel 2007

Il sito Digitimes riporta che AMD annuncerà la "Rev G" dei processori Turion 64 X2 e Mobile Sempron rispettivamente nel secondo e nel terzo trimestre 2007 .

 

Caratterizzato dal processo produttivo a 65 nanometri SOI, il core Tyler - rimpiazzo dei Turion 64 X2 Taylor - richiederà un Socket S1 a 638 pin e supporterà la memoria DDR2-800. Con un TDP - Thermal Design Power - di 35 watt, dovrebbe continuare a essere catagolato nella famiglia dei Turion TL-XX.

La casa texana pensa anche al settore single-core e infatti proporrà Sherman (25 watt), come rimpiazzo degli attuali Mobile Sempron (nome in codice Keene). Sherman utilizzerà lo stesso schema nomenclativo degli attuali Mobile Sempron.

 

Il passaggio completo delle serie Turion 64 X2 e Mobile Sempron al processo produttivo a 65 nm avverrà nel primo trimestre 2008.
