Ciao. Ho montato sul socket A il processore Duron modello 8, credo. Questo processore in oggetto è settato in frequenza a 1544 MHz con FSB a automatico con i jumper settati a 266( tra 200 e 333), clock 133 MHz(modificabile nel bios) x 11,5. Chiedo una spassionata valutazione se sia eventualmente possibile spuntare qualche cosa in termini di velocità del processore. Altri dettagli: memoria DRAM: 512 + 256 Mb di RAM DDR 400(PC3200), su cui intervenire dal bios in termini di CAS latency. Grazie, Paolo

la cpu ha il moltiplicatore sbloccato?

Ora non ho i jumper per poter lavorare a livello di MOBO sul clock, ho messo quelli del FSB a 266 così(x 11,5) supero 1900MHz, con temp suopra i 45°. Ho qualche problema perchè il sistema( debian 6 Squeeze) va in blocco ogni tanto e devo resettare.

Cos'è tecnicamente un clock generator?

Ecco nel mio caso si parla di skeda"vecchia"allora, perchè modificabile coi jumper, apro e cerco comunque...

allora un chip + vicino di altri al NB ha scritto piccolissimo ST§ D1802 GKDA 8844, googlato ma nn ho trovato nulla di utile..

no sulla tua dovrebbe essere modificabile gia via bus, io per vecchia intendevo scheda per pentium 1 o giu di li :2funny:

 

guardando la foto della scheda, il clock generator è il chip vicino allo slot agp, quello in alto vicino alla cpu è il vrm (controller della sezione di alimentazione, ti permette di impostare il vcore)

Calcolando che tende a impallarsi, credi che sia utile scendere di qualche step manualmente? Poi ho notato che posso manipolare un po' le ram che seppure in scarsa quantità e asincrone( una da 256, l'altra da 516) sono in termini di frequenza over: ho 3 possibilità di voltaggio e 3 di CAS latency.. qualche consiglio?
