Descrizione

 

Intel Extreme Tuning Utility è un potente strumento per l’overclocking, la messa a punto e il monitoraggio dei PC basati su piattaforme Intel.

Il programma propone un’eccellente pagina di System Information: ci sono infatti un sacco di dettagli a basso livello sul processore del sistema, grafica, memoria, BIOS, scheda madre e molto altro. Non mancano grafici real time per la frequenza di utilizzo della CPU, la temperatura e i processi, utili per valutare in che modo varia la temperatura della CPU man mano che si eseguono alcune applicazioni pesanti.

Una scheda manuale consente di ottimizzare il processore, la grafica (Intel), bus, i valori di tensione e la memoria. Se il sistema non permette la modifica di alcune parti, i cursori saranno mostrati in grigio.

Intel Extreme Tuning Utility include anche moduli di “stress test” da esercitare sulla CPU, la memoria e la grafica, per determinare se un sistema overcloccato è ancora stabile.

Infatti è possibile aumentare il TDP (in modo da incrementare il turbo boost in applicazioni multi threaded). Chiaramente un sistema di raffreddamento adeguato è necessario altrimenti va in thermal throttling. Sperimentato col mio macbook pro :D
