Dopo la Extreme3, la Extreme4 e la Fatal1ty Professionale, arriva la 990FX Extreme9. Per offrire la migliore migliore stabilità anche in condizioni di overclock generosi, è stato adottato un sistema di alimentazione digitale formato da 12+2 fasi, dual stack MOSFET (DSM) e condensatori giapponesi.
