Al momento solo pochi partners sembrano aver ricevuto i sample del prodotto che, secondo indiscrezioni, sarà presentato al CeBIT 2006 di Hannover, Germania (dal 9 al 15 Marzo). Tra i primi a fornire le soluzioni 7900 dovrebbero esserci ASUSTeK, eVGA, XFX e forse MSI. A differenza del lancio della GeForce 7800 GTX e del modello GT, nVidia dovrebbe lanciare le varianti GTX e GT nella medesima presentazione. Il top di gamma sarà quindi la GeForce 7900 GTX, che secondo rumor dovrebbe integrare 32 pixel processor all'interno di una GPU con frequenza 700/750 MHz, e memorie da 1.1ns con frequenza di 800/900 MHz.
