La SAPPHIRE Pure Platinum A85XT è una scheda in formato Full ATX compatibile con l’ultima generazione di APU AMD della serie Trinity (A10/A8/A6/A4) che utilizzano socket FM2 e implementa tutte le caratteristiche aggiuntive introdotte dal chipset A85X, come la presenza di due ulteriori porte SATA 6Gbps (per un totale di otto porte complessive) ed il supporto alla modalità CrossFire.
