The Internet/Site Automatic Tunnel Addressing Protocol (ISATAP) connects IPv6 hosts/routers over IPv4 networks. ISATAP views the IPv4 network as a link layer for IPv6 and views other nodes on the network as potential IPv6 hosts/routers. ISATAP supports automatic tunneling and a tunnel interface management abstraction similar to the Non-Broadcast, Multiple Access (NBMA) and ATM Permanent/Switched Virtual Circuit (PVC/SVC) models.

The Microsoft ISATAP device Inter Site Automatic Tunneling Address Protocol is used to help enterprises transition to an IPv6 infrastructure. The ISATAP adapter encapsulates IPv6 packets by using an IPv4 header. This functionality enables the client to transport IPv6 traffic over an IPv4 infrastructure. This approach lets organizations slowly migrate to an IPv6 infrastructure without having to spend excessive time and financial resources to convert to the new infrastructure.

In caso di problemi suggeriscono varie soluzioni anche se non sembra che il problema debba necessariamente essere rimosso perchè la scheda funzioni:

1) Disabilitazione delle schede ISATAP di rete in Gestione hardware del Pannello di controllo, aggiornamento del driver della periferica di rete hardware, successiva riattivazione delle schede ISATAP e riavvio.

2) Utilizzo di un precedente punto di ripristino di sistema (!?)

3) Rimozione delle schede ISATAP da Gestione hardware del Pannello di controllo e disattivazione del protocollo IPv6 da Proprietà della scheda di rete fisica.

4) Rimozione delle schede ISATAP da Gestione hardware del Pannello di controllo e loro reinstallazione da AzioneAggiungi hardware Legacy. Selezionare manualmente Network AdapretMicrosoft ISATAP adapter.

oppure prova cosi

Right click on the ISATAP adapter and select "Uninstall"

Uninstall the device and close the dialog box's by clicking OK

Reboot the system

Check to see if the ISATAP came back and if it has an error associated with it (most likely it won't).

ISATAP is basically and IPv6/IPv4 translation tool - and if you're not using IPv6 addresses you won't need it on your system. AFAIK the only program that requires it is the new Meeting Space program built into Windows.

Quando vado nella gestione dispositivi mi segna con il triangolo giallo, il malfunzionamento del componente in oggetto.

So a cosa serve, ma non capisco come potrei aggiornare i driver per far andare tutto a posto.

Ho provato a disinstallarlo ma non all'avvio successivo è riapparso.
