salve a tutti,

resto in attesa

saluti

[h=3]sn_icon_arr.gif Caratteristiche BIOS Recovery[/h] [h=3]Per AMI BIOS[/h]

Esempio: Rename A569MS23.ROM to AMIBOOT.ROM

[h=3]Per Award BIOS[/h]

  • Rendere un floopy disk bootabile
  • Copiare l'utility Award flash & BIOS file al suddetto floppy disk
  • Creare un autoexec.bat con "Award_Flash_Utility BiosFilename" nel contenuto (Es. awdfl823K w6378vms.130) Un esempio di come creare un autoexec (eseguibile):
    a. Da Windows, aprire il notepad
    b. Da notepad, scrivere "awdfl823K w6378vms.130" (senza la virgolette)

salve a tutti,

salve a tutto,

[h=4]American Megatrends Statement on Linux UEFI Boot Lock-Up: No Problems with Standard Aptio UEFI Implementations[/h] [h=1]Wednesday: February 20, 2013[/h] [h=3]Editorial Summary:[/h]

  • Recent media articles have reported instances of notebook hardware with UEFI firmware locking up after users have attempted to boot into Linux® via UEFI
  • AMI standard Aptio® UEFI firmware (both Aptio® 4 and Aptio® V versions) is not vulnerable to this reported issue
  • This problem is potentially related to usage of variable storage space, where boot failure may occur if NVRAM is overloaded
  • AMI has extensively tested its UEFI products according to industry standards to ensure that it is resistant to this problem
  • Standard versions of Aptio from AMI feature an effective “garbage collection” functionality which ensures that NVRAM is able to update variables even when fully utilized
  • AMI has a test procedure to safeguard against this vulnerability, which can be utilized by AMI's UEFI customers to validate their Aptio-derivative work

e poi...
