ASRock's board has a 2oz copper PCB and packs six DDR3-2400+ memory slots, four SATA 6.0 Gbps and seven SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, five PCI-Express x16 slots providing SLI and CrossFireX capabilities, gold-plated solid caps, and an active cooler for the X79 chipset.

The X79 Extreme7 also boasts dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, USB 3.0 connectivity (it looks like two ports on the back plate and four via built-in headers), one eSATA and one FireWire port, Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons, plus a debut LED. Pricing is missing at this point but availability is expected in November.
