pasta Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Ho bisogno di installare un sistema operativo piu reattivo del windows XP su un Notebook Acer Aspire 1353LM che monta una cpu AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+ (1.8 GHz) e 1GB DDR. Sapreste consigliarmi la distro piu leggerea e comunque compatibile con l'hardware di questo notebook per migliorare un po la sua usabilità? (la distro in questione dovrebbe avere anche una buona compatibilita con gli adattatori wireless....ne dovro usare per collegarlo ad internet visto che non ha il wifi questo notebbok) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ubuntu è più user friendly quindi se sei alle prime esperienze va bene ed inoltre il supporto hardware è molto buono. Sulla chiavetta wifi non so se filerà tutto liscio.... penguin86 Posted July 23, 2011 Share Posted July 23, 2011 Son d'accordo anch'io con Ubuntu se non hai esperienza con Linux. Sarà un po' lentina ma ti risolve un casino di problemi. Se invece punti solo alla velocità è meglio una Debian Squeeze, ma potresti passarci giorni interi ad impostartela, molte cose sono ancora da fare manualmente, non c'è il livello di automatismo che c'è con Ubuntu (nonostante ciò è la mia distro principale al momento...). penguin86 Posted July 24, 2011 Share Posted July 24, 2011 Sì Xubuntu dovrebbe essere la versione light di Ubuntu, ma di fatto la differenza è risibile e non vale i lati negativi (xubuntu è meno "standard" e in passato mi è capitato di avere problemi con degli applicativi un po' particolari che, però, su Ubuntu andavano benissimo...) nongio Posted January 7, 2012 Share Posted January 7, 2012 Io andrei su Lubuntu (Light Ubuntu), cel'ho su un paio di sistemi ed è realmente leggera come distro, hai repository Ubuntu e tutto il supporto legato ad esso, quindi massima sicurezza e compatibilità... Interfaccia LXDE molto semplice, nulla di esagerato, ma hai un sistema veloce e pronto da usare anche su pc "vecchiotti" (Gira bene su pc con 256MB di ram, altrimenti, se ne hai meno vai sulla minimal ) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Call Posted January 9, 2012 Share Posted January 9, 2012 Io ti sconsiglio al momento la 11.04, graficamente è pesantuccia: ho provato ad insallarla su un E-350 e ti assicuro che andava lentino, anche se devo ammettere che era la versione 64 bit che però non è consigliabile a momento in quanto incompleta. Tra le versioni Ubuntu io proverei con al 10.04 LTS (32 bit), e vedere se il tutto fila liscio, altrimenti andrei di Lubuntu... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pasta Posted August 9, 2012 Author Share Posted August 9, 2012 mi ritrovo nella medesima situazione (anche se a suo tempo non utilizzai piu questo notebook di emergenza perchè aveva la ram non buona, adesso sostituita e riprendo chiedendovi se la situazione è cambiata o valgono gli stessi consigli: consiglio su una distro (ed il modo per...) da mettere su un notebook Acer Aspire 1353LM con un Athlon XP M 2400+ (1.8 GHz), 512MB DDR, HD da 40GB e monta Windows XP 1. qual'è la miglior distro per un neofita, che abbia la maggior compatibilità con l'hardware (sopratutto l'antennina wifi con chip realtek), e sopratutto le migliori prestazioni con un hardware così obsoleto? 2. sapreste dirmi se è possibile lasciare intatto XP e creare un dual boot facendo in modo che dopo si possa tranquillamente eliminare di nuovo linux e tornare alla partizione singola con xp (quindi senza fare casini con mbr avvio e simili)? pasta Posted August 9, 2012 Author Share Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) 1-kubuntu2-si con gparted fai tutto sto provando lubuntu, l'ho messo su una chiavetta, ho lanciato il live, poi l'installazione, ho scelto la lingua, poi ho spuntato di installare i software di terze parti e adesso devo scegliere tra queste 3 opzioni (ho un hd da 40gb, partizionato in 2 parti una da 30 con xp una da 10 vuota): 1. installa lubuntu a fianco di xp 2. sostituisci xp con lubuntu 3. altro (in questo caso se scelgo questa opzione e scelgo la seconda partizione quando do il comando contibnua mi dice che non è stato definito alcun file system di root) cosa devo fare?
