The new Intel SSD 510 features fast SATA 6 Gigabits per second (Gbps) performance to take full advantage of Intel's transition to higher speed SATA bus interfaces on the recently introduced 2nd Generation Intel Core processor-based platforms. Supporting data transfers of up to 500 megabytes per second (MB/s), the Intel SSD 510 doubles the sequential read speeds, and at up to 315MB/s more than triples the sequential write speeds of Intel's current 3Gbps SSDs, to transfer more data in less time. Anche se sono molto incuriosito dall'adaptec perchè oltre ad essere uno dei primi sata3 è anche il primo ad essere pensato espressamente per gli ssd visto che ha la caratteristica di supportare anche il raid ibrido hd-ssd che è difficilissimo da fare senza perdere sincronismo raid.

Un 6445 viene circa sui 400$, una cifra irrisoria rispetto alle performance.

Sai io mi sono semore divertito con i controller integrati ma chi prova un controller dedicato capisce che quelli integrati sono dei giocattoli.

P67 ha due canali sata3 ma nessuno ha mai verificato il suo limite soprattutto negli iops.

Con uno dei nuovi intel secondo me riesce a fare un sequenziale ottimo ma se veramente fanno 50000iops, che sono 5 volte gli iops di un x25m' sono proprio curioso di vedere se regge.

Sarebbe interessante provarlo rispetto ad un controller serio.

I prezzi inizialmente saranno più o meno così, intel non è come ocz il prezzo di listino più o meno è lo streetprice, poi di sicuro caleranno. Ome è successo con i g2.

Le prestazioni saranno molto elevate e si parla di 50000 iops che secodo me un controller integrato non è in grDo di sfruttare a dovere.

Anche se sono consumer superano le capacità dell'hw attuale, ma ovviamente dobbiamo aspettare qualchereview.

Cmq non so se si possono chiamare G3 visto che useranno ancora le 34nm anche se con controller nuovo.

Saranno disponibili solo il 120GB e il 250GB a prezzi credo sui 300-600€ quindi non i prezzi che ci si aspettava dai G3.

Prestazioni ovviamente al top visto che si parla di 470 in lettura e 370 in scrittura con 50000iops, da vedere cmq sul campo.
