Le piattaforme p67/h67, simili concettualmente alle vecchie p55/h57, ma con un solo generatore di clock a 100mhz in comune per ogni dispositivo con conseguente blocco delle possibilità di overcloccare, da oggi se volte smanettare o comprate le cpu K o niente :.

E un confronto con i vecchi clarkdale, notare l'igp ora integrata nel die e quindi un solo die non più due come nella precedente ideazione di intel

Incompatibilità con il vecchio socket, se qualcuno si chiedesse come mai una cpu 1155 non può essere montata su 1156 e viceversa, la ragione è presto detta, come potete vedere la suddivisione della piedinatura in aree logiche è completamente diversa rendendo. (a destra 1155, notiamo anche l'assenza di un area dedicata alla tensione Vtt)

Non ho ancora trovato i datasheet sul sito intel, ma ho trovato questa tabella in un'altro forum:

Per comodità riporto le tabelle estratte dal datasheet, un pò più articolate delle vecchie.

In sostanza troviamo:

Vid fino a 1.52v

Vio fino a 1.1v (1.05 + 5% circa)

Vpll fino a 1.89v

Vddr fino a 1.575v

Curioso questo ultimo valore, stando a ciò tutti gli attuali kit per nehalem potrebbero non risultare compatibili (o safety). Da valutare meglio.

Confermo... è una questione di c....

c'è chi ha raggiunto i 4,9GHz con 1.044 v (e lo zero davanti al 44 non è un'errore, c'è lo screen su hwbot)...mentre altri per 4,9GHz devono spingersi a 1.5 e oltre

Gigabyte has responded to the reports that its LGA1155 motherboards have a habit of emulating Bonfire Night, by claiming that the company sent the wrong boards out to reviewers.

Gigabyte's US team sent TechReaction two boards: one UD7 (brand new) and one UD4 (with an open box). However, Gigabyte explained that the UD4 was already a faulty component before it was sent out to TechReactor, and shouldn't have left the company's building.

'We suspect that we messed up and sent him a board that we had damaged during our own testing and have sent him another new one,' claims the company.

'Our testing involves overclocking and other various tests to which no motherboard should normally be exposed – we’re basically testing durability, and durability is determined when the board dies.

We’re still waiting to check the board and trace where it has been, to try and figure out how a damaged board was sent as a media sample and prevent this from happening again.'

Gigabyte didn't detail the exact limits of its boards' durability, but it did claim that there were no reports of retail boards exhibiting the same problems.
