Ratatosk Posted August 5, 2010 Share Posted August 5, 2010 Globalfoundries May Deliver First 28nm Chips in the First Half of 2011 - X-bit labs Visti i tempi ridotti si preconfigura una lineup mista 40/28nm per le HD6000, con la fascia alta sicuramente a 40nm, c'è da capire su quale fascia si andrà sui 28nm. Io scommetterei su quella bassissima per i 28nm, oppure per la lineup per portatili. In ogni caso questi chip a 28nm saranno i classici pipe cleaner in modo da affrontare il design di "R1000" conun know how preconsolidato sul nuovo processo. Ratatosk Posted August 7, 2010 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Ripensando alle parole esatte del rappresentanto GF lui dice che sono previsti due processi 28nm, un LP e un HP e che i primi prodotti 28nm sono previsti a inizio anno, ma non specifica di quale delle due tipologie, quindi dubito che vedremo GPU@28nm così presto. Meglio per nVidia, perché se nel Q1 AMD dovesse già avere GPU a 28nm fatte in GF, dovendo aspettare TSMC per fare altrettanto la situazione sarebbe stata decisamente più che critica, vicina allo scacco matto.
