Quale S.O mi consigliate...da sfruttare al massimo con questa configurazione?bit?

anche il full-mode al 99.9% non dovresti avere alcun problema con CS4.

Se dovessi riscontrare qualche anomalia, o freeze strano in alcuni passaggi, puoi sempre farlo partire in modalità compatibile XP o Vista

click dx -> Proprietà -> Compatibilità

con Pinnacle v12 non saprei: non resta che provare ;)

La sto testando con l'E5200 a 3.6Ghz e una Radeon 4350 in full-mode:

3.6 l'indice Desktop Aero e

5.3 quello 3D business and gaming

devo dire che è comunque più che discretamente fruibile, e ne è godibile il risultato complessivo, anche grazie a 2 nuove release dei driver ATI-Microsoft negli ultimi due mesi che ne hanno leggermente migliorato le performance (anche se il punteggio è rimasto praticamente invariato :)

per sfruttare i 6GB di ram devo per forza usare un sistema a 64bit, il mio consiglio come quello di Bear85 è di usare windows 7 64bit che come SO è già molto performante, oppure puoi andare su XP a 64 bit ma non penso ti convenga. A te la scelta:)
