Se ne è già parlato abbastanza della strategia che NVIDIA sta adottando per le nuove GPU Maxwell. Dapprima, per la fascia bassa, sono previste GPU da 28nm, le già presenti GTX 750 e GTX 750 Ti, e successivamente il processo produttivo arriverà a 20nm sulle schede video di fascia alta. SSD Crucial M500 series La famiglia Crucial M500 viene proposta nei formati: SATA III 2,5" 7mm, mSATA e NGFF M.2. Intel aggiorna la propria linea di prodotti storage Solid State Drive con l'introduzione della serie 530, che andrà a sostituire l'attuale offerta proposta con gli SSD 520. La serie SSD 530 viene proposta in tre differenti formati: M.2 (80mm), mSATA e da 2,5" con spessore di 7mm.

Micron, produttore di unità di memoria flash, è al lavoro con la produzione di sample di NAND flash TLC da 128 Gb (gigabit). Questi sample sono per il momento destinati ad alcuni produttori, mentre per la produzione bisognerà attendere il secondo trimestre.

SSD Intel serie 335 ora disponibile anche da 180 GB

Ad affiancarsi al modello da 240GB, da Intel arriva un nuovo SSD della serie 335 con capacità di 180 GB. Con form factor da 2,5", la serie è dotata della connessione SATA III 6Gbps e di uno spessore da 9,5mm. -
Samsung è una delle poche aziende che ha deciso di distinguersi dal grande mercato con SSD gestiti dai controller prodotti da LSI SandForce e da Marvell. La famiglia 830 è stata molto apprezzata, merito dell'elevate prestazioni e dell'ottima affidabilità, ma è giunto il momento di svecchiare la serie con gli SSD 840.
